Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Sunshine Coast trainer Stuart Kendrick has been fined just $5000 for his third breach of the substance rule in the past 12 months. Kendrick’s fine was for presenting his horse Savannah Gangster to race with the painkiller Meloxicam and the anti-inflammatory Flunixin in its system, the same offence that he was fined $3000 for in […]
North QLD trainer Belynda Kliese bought a 3yo bay filly named Dark Fae in an online auction. At the time of the sale the filly was trained by Joe Pride, who logic suggests must have been the person in charge of her. Dark Fae was sent north to the buyer by the seller. Or so […]
I live in Paradise, aka Port Douglas, creation of the international criminal Christopher Skase, village of dreams. He was a genius Skase. Crooked from head to toe, but a visionary nevertheless. He saw Port Douglas as the greatest place on earth before anyone did, even the First Australians who have no history in the joint […]
7-year-old pacer Martin Magic had won 12 races from 99 starts before being sent north to trainer Matt Elkins, the last of them a year ago in 2.01.0 at Terang, which was 8.4 seconds outside of the track record. Greg Eurell is quite a distinguished racehorse trainer. He has won multiple Group 1 races with Apache Cat, and a Cox Plate with Pinker Pinker. Eurell has an all but spotless reputation, and we don’t seek to besmirch it. But if what the police are saying is true – and we don’t have an opinion […]
Archie We are talking Nanango here. A punter has $250 @3.5. $550 return is printed on ticket incorrectly. The punter didn’t realise until after the race. He fronts the bookie. The Bookie says that the price was $3.00. So if correct the face value of the ticket should be $750 if that was truly the […]
The rail is off at Randwick, especially as the track deteriorates. Any fool can see that. Craig Williams didn’t. This clown steered the favorite in the last Inkaruna to the inside. He might as well have slit its throat. Granted Inkaruna didn’t finish the race off well, and might have had an issue. But it […]
It’s a big day out at Nanango two and a half hours north-west of Brisbane this afternoon. One of Gympie’s favorite sons is there among the madding crowd. The prodigal son returned home. Word is that he winning thousands too. Good luck comes to those who support country racing. The only question is who is […]
