Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Man From Uncle was once a very, very promising galloper who looked like a rising star of the racing ranks as a 3yo making his way to the top. In his first racetrack prep the Man won both the Group 3 Eskimo Prince and the time honoured Group 2 Hobartville Stakes, beating gallopers of the […]
Where do you start about Grant ‘Moses’ Dixon’s drive last night in the Victoria Cup? During the week Dixon was openly admitting that in three seasons of racing, he had never taught Leap To Fame how to develop or use his gate speed. How Bizarre t was an astonishing confession, one that was incomprehensible to […]
Some imbecile has decided to pretend to be this author by setting up a Twitter account under my former name. They have then proceeded to post a mountain of crap pretending that it is me talking or tweeting, and quite deliberately published material that that attempts to paint me in a very poor light. On […]
Archie…. Not sure what your thoughts are, but I think today is currently Australia’s best day of racing on the calendar Kosciuszko Silver Eagle Everest King Charles Herbert Power Might & Power Caulfield Guineas Toorak and finally racing returns to Ascot after the winter break.. Another positive to cocaine in Toowoomba and this time it’s the right hand man of the most incredibly improved trainer in the country Corey Geran. Cameron Creevey is regarded as family by Corey Geran as recently posted on Facebook for Creevey’s birthday. Creevey is Gerans top dog trackwork rider, stablehand, strapper and reading between the […]
Keith from QLD chimes in again with his views about the Victoria Cup. As usual we thank him for his contribution. Everyone has had an opinion and some have subscribed to saying Leap to Fame is the best horse in the world. That’s more than a leap. I’m happy to say he could be as […]
This Nick White bloke must be the craziest punter in Australia. Why else would he would he take $20 about the Voice referendum getting up when the true odds are about 10-000 t0 1 or longer? White might just like burning money I guess. Robbie Waterhouse doesn’t. He like making it. And this is the […]
What you see above is from a story in yesterday’s NZ Herald by the doyen of Australasian harness racing writers Mick Guerin, the man of a million facial expressions. Trainer Matthew White doesn’t work out of Cambridge, and hasn’t for some time now. These days White trains at Clevedon, 2 hours to the north. You’d […]
What a strange thing for Grant Dixon to say. In his 32 start career he hasn’t taught Leap To Fame the art of showing early gate speed. Why not? Surely a great trainer like Dixon would have taught his horse to explode from the gate, for it doesn’t make sense not to have done so. […]
