Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Colin DeFilippi is a vastly experienced reinsman who has competed at the top for a long time. You wouldn’t know it though from his drive on the favorite Donttelltheboys in the 5th race at Addington last night. He didn’t show a whole lot of vigor on the horse down the straight did he? Was he […]
There’s a story floating around the traps that trainer Seaton Grima was so highly aggrieved about both the deal offered to him by Summit Bloodstock and Aaron Bain to train their horses, and by their reluctance to up and have horses taken to the vets that he told them to stick it where the sun […]
Apprentice Y. Lewis should go and buy herself a lotto ticket after escaping a fine or suspension for her ride on Fay Faye in the last at Rockhampton yesterday. Not only did she whip her horse 15 times down the straight, she did it in consecutive strides, and she whacked it at least once, or […]
Royce Gregory-Jack doesn’t drive a lot, but being by David Jack out of Mrs Jack he’s been around horses his whole life, and he has won 3 J.C. Caffyn Indigenous Driver’s Plates at Menangle during his career, so he must be at the very least a competent reinsman who knows what he’s doing in the […]
The bloke who writes in below is of my acquaintance from the dogs, and is a straight up guy. What he says can be regarded as gospel. Does the NSW TAB condone theft from their customers? Kiwi trackwork rider Robert Harris has a long and potted history of drug abuse, similar to that of a large number of glass pipe jockeys addicted to meth or Ice or P, as the evil illicit substance is commonly known in New Zealand. Harris was still serving a long disqualification for his second personal positive […]
Dual Group 1-winning mare Prowess tested positive to a banned substance during a sample taken before she raced in the Champions Stakes in November. Racing Victoria stewards said on Thursday a “prohibited substance was detected in a pre-race urine sample collected from the Roger James and Robert Wellwood trained racehorse, Prowess.” Prowess finished sixth in the […]

Which means that if you are so inclined, click on the link and have your say. From: QRIC Independent Review <QRICReview@kpmg.com.au> Sent: Monday, February 5, […]
In the space of just 5 weeks and 37 runners Mildura trainer Naomi Kerr has won almost a third of the prizemoney that she did in 268 starts over the entire course of the last year, and is training winners at almost double the strike rate that she did in 2o23 too. It’s funny that […]
A lot of Tasmanian harness racing watchers are asking how the Steward Gavin Griffin could possibly have sat on the panel that handed trainer Michael Laugher an effective $2000 fine for a substance rule breach – a positive swab – that would usually have seen the offender put out for months. These people’s concern is […]
