Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
The naked tipster Dr Georgia Whiting is back. Last weekend she tipped us another 5 winners, including her special Shining Smile. That made it 6 winning weekends in a row and five of her past six specials saluting the judge. The Doc is confident she can do it again after spending all week naked doping […]

The mix-up in drivers for the Grimson horses in race 6 at Menangle last weekend raises an interesting question. What rule exactly did the stable representative and drivers breach? Julie Henman, Blake Jones and Matt Rue were charged with, and pleaded guilty to, a breach 0f rule 239A, which reads that: A person whose conduct […]
Auckland Trotting Club members voted on Wednesday night to approve the sale of the Franklin Training Center (Pukekohe) to a company named Oyster Capital for circa $70 million, which after legal and sale expenses is about exactly the $68 million we told you some months ago that the property would sell for, a figure that […]

The last one brought back memories. ———————————————– Albion Park is owned by the Government so harness bosses have little bargaining power. It would be interesting […]
A fortnight ago we tipped you that barrister Tim Hale would become Chairman of the Australian Turf Clun and Caroline Searcy would be his deputy. We got the quinella. Hale and Searcy are now running the show. The ant-Rosehill sale brigade has won. So have Gai and Robbie Waterhouse. Robbie only had to wait 40 […]
Story by Matt Nicholls. Blind Freddy could see that it was a false start and should have been called a no-race. But it took the stewards about an hour to draw the same conclusion following this year’s failed Hughenden Cup in what turned out to be farcical scenes. Firstly, let’s go back to the beginning. […]
