Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
You are going to hear a lot of heart wrenching stories about the Newcastle Knights this week, and about how they are going to win the NRL Grand Final. Don’t believe a word of them. The Roosters are absolute certainties. Toia and Radley will take out Ponga, shut him down and out of the game. […]
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/CBge98JTPyM The tackle that broke Nathan Cleary’s leg was not a “hip drop” done with intention. It was a random collision. Contact was made, the body swung around the ball carrier, momentum carried him down. That is rugby league. It’s not a crime scene. Should defenders let go of a player they have hold of […]
Kalyn’s girlfriend (above) – gee the bloke is struggling Some players are that good that they can turn a team, and its season. Kalyn Ponga is one of them. His last ten weeks have been extraordinary. Look how that turned out, with him being beaten into near-unconsciousness by a bloke with a career record of none […]
Red Bull has had a shot at naming it’s NRL team of the year. So I will too. There are not many similarities among them. Here is mine. Starting Side 1 – Kalyn Ponga Has carried Newcastle to the finals on his shoulders. A brilliant player who has had perhaps his ever best season in […]
The news that Billy Slater has quit as Queensland not long after he said he was staying on makes what we told you would happen a month ago an absolute certainty. Billy is off to Melbourne to coach the Storm. There has been no announcement about it yet, but you can bet your life on […]
I was having this argument last night with an old mate of mine last night about the worth of the bunker in the NRL. He said it was a load of shit, and implored me to ring PVL and beg him to ditch it. I told my mate he was full of it. The jury […]
