Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
The top-shelf harness racing circus moves t0 Cambridge, New Zealand tonight, and what a night of racing it is. The Race (formerly by Grins, them by Betcha, and now by Sports Nation) is the headline act. And what a great race The Race is going to be. It is a three horse affair in my […]
All week the so-called experts have been carrying on about how superb the Penrith Panthers are, and how it seemed unlikely that any team could possibly beat them this season. Pshaw. That might have been the case in the pre-salary cap days, but it ain’t anymore. The salary cap has put an end to unbeaten […]
My wife Maggie is 53 today. It’s hard to believe that she was only 23 when I met her. Where have the years gone? Who cares. I love her now as much as the day we met. She is still as beautiful too. Happy birthday sweetheart. You got me. Always have had. Big time. XXXXX
I can understand a trainee starter mucking things up early in their career. We all do that. But how can a judge get a photo wrong in the digital age? It’s a good trick isn’t it? Only in Queensland.

That’s what the NSW Racing […]
Do you remember the series of stories we wrote about a bloke named Adrian Talbot, the brother of the Wagga Greyhound Racing Club chairman Ben Talbot, and how he was running an illegal operation that slaughtered unwanted racehorses to convert them into dog meat? https://peterprofit.com/?s=adrian+talbot A Horse of Course – The Great GWIC Brumby Meat […]
It is 3.30 in the morning. A wee little kid named Carmel Zullo – age 2 1/2 – is asleep in her bedroom on her parent’s cane farm in Miallo, a tiny hamlet in the middle of nowhere in Far North QLD, about 40 minutes north of Port Douglas. It’s World War II, and the […]
Max Delight has been a great horse over the years. He won 3 Derbies, a Breeders Crown, a Victoria Cup and many more top races among his 37 wins for over $1.5 million dollars in prizemoney. But at the age of 10 has Max’s career come to an end? Judging by his atrocious performance when […]
