Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
So jockey Masa Abe goes out to trackwork wearing these META sunglasses, which can film or take photos, play music, talk to you or connect to your phone so you can take calls. In other words, exactly he sort of glasses that riders shouldn’t have on. The Stewards tell Abe to take them off. He […]
The LNP t0ok over as the QLD Government after that imbecile Steven (Smiles) Miles gifted it to them, and as a result a bible bashing hypocrite who knew plenty about footy but SFA about racing took over as Racing Minister from the well-meaning niece of Tony and Gerry Bellino, who knew absolutely nothing about racing […]
Egyptian Lass broke through the barriers at Jundah on the 3rd of October and was late scratched. The Stewards Report from the meeting (see at top) said that the horse would require a further satisfactory barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again. It hasn’t barrier trialled, so a satisfactory barrier trial certificate cannot […]
We have been warning people about the dangers of Tanya Parry’s method of racing busted horses in the bush for ages, not because we have anything against Parry personally, because we don’t. Because we know that busted horses break down, and that puts people and horses in peril. We saw it today at Cloncurry when […]
As we predicted earlier in the week, Bobo (trainer B0dine Bailey) has scratched his horse that was never ever going to run Seventies Hit from the Cairns meeting on Sunday. Bailey also scratched another one of his acceptors Smart Mission from a race at the meeting too, which is no surprise because best guesses are […]
Do you remember our story below about Grant Dixon’s mad arse steer on Tim’s A Trooper in a race at Albion Park last month, and how the Stewards had adjourned an inquiry into the race and the drive? Just to remind you, Dixon punched Tim like there was a prize for leading, and made sure […]
On the same day that the Tanya Parry trained 4-year-old mare I’lltellyouafter died a premature and completely unnecessary death on the dirt track of Richmond, one of its’ stablemates – ironically another 4yo mare named Lively Spirit – finished tailed out by almost 40 lengths in a race at the same meeting on the same […]
As we reported last week, Cairns trainer Bodine Bailey jumped on Facebook and encouraged one of his friends to bash a jockey about the same height as the one with him in the picture, or perhaps even a little smaller. What sort of bloke does that, especially one his size? Behaviour like that’s pretty piss […]
Those of us watching the first race at Doomben live yesterday saw the $4.60 third favorite in the betting Crazy Eights go down in the stalls at the start, and expected it to be backed out and vet checked. Race caller David Fowler obviously did too. But the horse wasn’t pulled out of the gates […]
Jockey Daniel Moor was hauled into the Stewards room after race 2 at Eagle Farm and had his ride on the 2nd favorite Iconify questioned. I am buggered if I know why. Iconify is the horse in the pink and blue, one out and one back. Tell me if you can what was wrong with […]
