Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
We all know about On The Bit Racing (OTBR)’s support for trainer David Reynolds, the man accused of perpetrating multiple crimes against women. Well Reynolds isn’t the only questionable character associated with the company that holds lucrative six-figure State Government contracts to broadcast country race meetings. See the sponsor called Brisbane Plumbing and Gas Supplies […]
The inside word is that certain stables are using synthetic forms of tweaked EPO that cannot be detected by the current racing lab testing regime. When you look around the country – and you need to, because it is being used by trainers in the east and west – it is not hard to draw […]
I want you to take a look at this replay of the run down the stretch in the Listed Sires Stakes at Addington last night, and pay particular attention to the breach of the whip rules by Mark Purdon on the 2nd placed horse Cyrus, the horse in the blue and white coming three-wide. Did […]
Lord Bazalup was, until 5 days ago, quite possibly Australia’s slowest pacer. In 67 starts he’d won just twice, that sterling victory coming in January last year at Devonport while trained by Ben Yole, in a race where he fell in off the pole draw to win in an incredibly ordinary time of 2.02.8. It’s an interesting and exciting night of harness racing at Addington, albeit made stupid by the fact that there is no corresponding meeting in the north island. No matter what they might and do say, the people in charge of HRNZ dead set do not have a clue when it comes to the relationship between […]
