The picture you are seeing above is a still shot from the replay of the finish in race 3 at Shepparton last night, You can see as well as I can. How could the inside possibly have been beaten? But it was. If this isn’t the worst camera angle in the world then I don’t […]
It’s not the best look in the world for harness racing when a $1.20 favourite that leads on a track with no sprint lane kicks away needlessly at the 600m mark with it’s stablemate sitting on it’s back and smoking the pipe. The first rule of trot driving is that you always keep the one […]

This Steward’s report from race 5 at the Sunshine Coast last Sunday is shite. Dan McGillvray didn’t just make contact with rival rider Jasper Franklin, he quite deliberately elbowed him in the head. It wasn’t careless riding, it was foul. Highly dangerous too. So was Franklin’s reprisal when he gave McGillivray the Malachi Crunch to […]
After God knows how many years of training, and 10 Group 1 winners, all of sudden Rickie Alchin has caught ablaze again. Last night he took two horses to race at Newcastle, and both of them won. That was an easy 10 grand for a 6 hour drive. The cash was good, but the best […]
The video below is of the terrible fall in the 2nd race at Melton last night. The leader drifts off the fence slightly, and the driver of the horse on its back tries to slip up inside it. Without a head on replay we don’t know if there was a run there or not, but […]
