Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Stewards inquired into the reasons Aqua Cruiser (Angus Garrard) shifted out in the back straight on the final occasion when leading, which afforded Tactfilly Miracle (Adam Richardson) an opportunity to obtain a run to the inside which was trailing Aqua Cruiser at that point in the event, and gain a substantial advantage leaving the 550metres […]
Further to our story about Luke McCarthy’s rumored move to the US, a knowledgeable reader wrote in to say the following: It’s a very big stretch to say that Dexter Dunn and the two McCarthy brothers aren’t in the top 50 drivers in the USA. Admittedly on their number of wins they aren’t, but on […]
I don’t think that either Cyclones Jasper or Kirrily are most North QLD trainers first eye of the needle rodeo. I suspect that for many of the QRIC stewards it is. Which makes it all the more ironic that they are telling North Queenslanders how to suck eggs during a cyclone. The next thing you […]
Not that many months ago Bailey Wheeler was the red hot gun Queensland apprentice, riding winners in town at the same sort of strike rate as the top senior jockeys in Brisbane. Wheeler was going so well that he still sits a close 2nd on the metro apprentices ladder behind Ceejay Graham, who has had […]

But now here we are watching an oft incommunicative Mayor with bling in his ear grinning and telling us that every time it rains we won’t have any water, and […]
Yesterday we predicted that the $540 000 in a fortnight mark up men KO Racing’s giveaway share ‘worth $1000.00s’ would be in one of its cheap used horse buys, and today we have been proven correct. The share is in the Bendigo maiden winner that we highlighted Celestial Harbour, which was purchased online by KO’s […]
If the rumors are right that Luke McCarthy is intending to take a crack at a new career driving in the USA after the Miracle Mile carnival, then he is setting himself a highly difficult but potentially lucrative path. Last year no Aussie driver – not Dexter Dunn, or either of McCarthy’s hitherto very successful […]
