Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Craig Williams ride on Sir Delius in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick on Saturday was sheer genius. The work 0f a master, who had d0ne his form and planned what he was going to do a long time before he did it. Williams knew that he was on a top class middle distance stayer, […]
This is the Callaghan Park track report that the Rockhampton Jockey Club posted to RISA at 7.45am on Sunday morning. Zero irrigation they say. How does that align with the previous day’s Stewards Report that said the sprinklers had intermittently come on and off between 6.30am and 10.30am the day before? It doesn’t obviuosly. If […]
Isn’t Leap To Fame an absolutely tremendous looking horse. As pretty as a picture. Just like Kay, Brittany and Trista. Sorry Kev and Grant. No disrespect. But I’m not sure about you. Stick to owning and training world champions chaps. Leave the looks to Larry and the girls. Photos by Angelique Bridson, another champion.
What is this in the picture? Chemicals dumped out the back of Callaghan Park race track, Rockhampton. Photo taken on Wednesday. What is in the chemical container? Who knows, because the labels had been stripped off. Where did the stuff come from? A committee member’s business some say. We don’t know whether it is true. […]
With the pressure on the fairytales start coming thick and fast. Instead of accepting the blame for their own mistake the Rockhampton Jockey Club just keeps spinning and spinning. Now we are expected to play the role of wide eyed idiots and believe the club’s story that this supposed broken valve on the sprinklers just […]
The QRIC Stewards were told that when the Rockhampton Jockey Club’s course curator did his track inspection at 6.30am on Saturday there was no problem with the track and it was right to race. When the Stewards came and did their own track inspection at 10.30am, we are told, there had been a malfunction with […]
What you see above is a picture taken at last night’s Calcutta at Callaghan Park. See where the arrow is pointing? That’s the exact spot that became waterlogged overnight and caused the meeting to be cancelled. Here it is again. Racing QLD sent out the text below to participants this morning. It says zero irrigation […]
How does any pacer sit parked in the breeze for 2200 meters against the best of the best on both sides of the ditch, and win a million dollar race by 7 lengths? It is just unheard of. Or used to be. Leap To Fame is rewriting history. There can be no doubt at all […]
Kevin Seymour AM doesn’t look too happy as you’d expect of a man who had just won a million dollar race and had his beloved daughter on his right shoulder, does he? I guess that is because Kev is a man who knows that you’re judged by the company that you keep. And some Ozempic […]
Mr Butterfly All hail the King? Or let’s just say “Hats Off To Larry”. Nice old song too. Arthur from Albury
