Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
While the eyes of the world were watching the big name riders go around at Randwick and Caulfield yesterday, lesser light jockeys around the nation were having big days out too. Justin Stanley takes the prize for most winners anywhere after he landed a fabulous five on the card at Rockhampton, and all of them […]
Are the Kiwi trot Stewards serious aplying the rules, or do they just make it up as they go? The push out rule is very simple and clear. Prior to the 1000m mark a driver is not allowed to push out when the nose of a horse outside them is in line with or past […]
If Ray ‘Dynamite’ Mason isn’t the most committed racehorse owner in the country then I don’t know who is. While 50 000 Sydney siders spent their Friday warming up for the all day Everest drink, Dynamite was on the road making the long 18 trek from Melbourne to Mitchell to be on-track to cheer his […]
Andrew Rule is one person who certainly won’t be on Ben Melham and Jamie Kah’s Christmas card this year, after the pair blew up big time after reading a story about Kah penned by the award winning crime and racing writer that was published yesterday in the Sun Herald (see story below). This time the persistent rules breaker wasn’t outed for careless riding […]
There is no club in the world that can stuff things up like the Auckland Trotting Club can, and no Stewards who can allow them to do it so badly either. Race 6 at Auckland was the feature event of the night, the $30 000 final of the Woodlands Stud-Silk Road Northern Series. The race […]
Over the past few months we have highlighted a number of issues with Terry Bailey’s race calling. All trains stop at the same station. The one called Retirement. Listen to this Barry Crocker from Terry the Saint last night at Pakenham and tell us you disagree.
Gloucester Park has a few problems if their CEO Michael ‘Boo’ Radley can’t remember the name of the development company headed by their former Vice-President Kevin Jeavons son Kyle that the club sold $60 million worth of prime Swan riverside land to without a public tender for $10 million paid in five yearly instalments of […]
This below is the information being circulated to members by the club about the proposed sale of club land. Read and digest it, and we will throw you a few extra questions soon. What are Members being asked to vote for? The GPHR Executive Committee has begun a formal process under the Club’s by-laws to […]
