Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
It is difficult to tell without the benefit of a head-in replay – which we don’t have because Racing QLD has censored it from its website – but it seems to me that one or more jockeys might have some big problems when the inquiry into the dual fall at Townsville on Sunday that put […]
Just out from a month until NZ Cup day, the likely make up of the 15 horse field for the big one is starting to take shape following the release of the latest rankings. Last year’s winner Kingman has automatic entry into the race, as do the winners of the automatic qualification races Republican Party […]
Bobo the greatest show on turf has managed to pull off a masterstroke. Preparing a horse to race on a four day preparation. Up until 8.58am today (Wednesday) the horse Seventies Hit had been spelling. But the miracle worker that Bobo is has decided the Open 1250m at Cairns on Sunday with only four original […]
Do you remember our story below about Grant Dixon’s mad arse steer on Tim’s A Trooper in a race at Albion Park last month, and how the Stewards had adjourned an inquiry into the race and the drive? Just to remind you, Dixon punched Tim like there was a prize for leading, and made sure […]

Coming to the turn it looked liked Perfect Playgirl would be stuck there all the […]
Archie As a horseman, I can tell you that from the visual of the replay it looked sore in the rear end to me. Hence why it didn’t want to muster out of the gates and go at all. Bill from Boulia Editor’s Note I reckon its structurally unsound
Tyler Schiller is best known as a highly successful Group 1 winning jockey who has ridden in a Melbourne Cup. At heart though he is a trot man, just his grandad Phil Schiller was back in the day. Two years backs Tyler paid $18 000 at the APG Sydney sale for a colt by Downbytheseaside. […]
On the same day that the Tanya Parry trained 4-year-old mare I’lltellyouafter died a premature and completely unnecessary death on the dirt track of Richmond, one of its’ stablemates – ironically another 4yo mare named Lively Spirit – finished tailed out by almost 40 lengths in a race at the same meeting on the same […]
Adelaide is a town of about one and a half million people. Last night Globe Derby hosted the best drivers in Australia competing in the national drivers championship. You could count the number of members of the public who turned up to watch on your fingers and toes. Eugowra in NSW is a tiny town […]
