Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
It will be a busy few days for Grimson with Captains Mistress and Minos due to fly to NZ on Sunday – HRNZ website today The great problem with the trots both here in New Zealand and over the ditch in Oz is that everyone materially involved in the sport regards punters as absolute mugs, […]
Bobo the greatest show on turf has managed to pull off a masterstroke. Preparing a horse to race on a four day preparation. Up until 8.58am today (Wednesday) the horse Seventies Hit had been spelling. But the miracle worker that Bobo is has decided the Open 1250m at Cairns on Sunday with only four original […]
All seven of Seaton Grima’s runners at Menangle tonight have been scratched, we suspect by order of the Stewards. An unannounced stable inspection – call it a raid – of Grima’s stables was conducted by the HRNSW integrity crew on Thursday morning. It would seem remarkable if the Stewards visit and the scratching of the […]
Just take a look at these ‘starts’ at Gloucester Park last night. They aren’t starts. They’re a joke. The horses on the front line haven’t scored up properly. Those drawn the inside are up on the gate, the ones drawn to their outer aren’t. They are supposed to be. None of these races were started […]

This horse should have won by panels, and it was straight down to Shinn’s steer that it didn’t. Shinn […]
This is the head on replay of the run down the home straight in race 2 at Townsville on Sunday. You have to watch it to understand the rest of the story. It’s short and quick. Ryan Wiggins – who only the day before had copped an 8 day suspension for careless riding in Cairns […]
Four other Jockey Club stipendiary stewards – Jamie Andrew Stier, Kam Shiu-bor, Tony Lam Tsun-hin and Martin Maxwell Knibbs – also testified that they did not question Fradd’s riding and believed he was only ‘settling the horse’ in the early stage of the race – www.scmp.com/article/397408/i-had-hold-horse-back-safety-says-fradd Oh dear. Martin Knibbs was once a senior racing […]
