I didn’t realise they ran the Gawler dogs at the Birdwatchers Bar. This appeared in the state-wide South Australian newspaper. Cracker.
Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying

A recent disciplinary case heard by the NZ Racing Integrity Board has exposed the great hidden lie about the impending government shutdown of greyhound racing in New Zealand. During the hearing of the case involving trainer Bonnie Evans, which was about unrelated matters, it was revealed that whilst Evans had transferred a number of greyhounds […]
The hearing of a raft of charges against Victorian greyhound trainer Ivan Chircop – most of them dismissed – lifted a veil on the capacity (or lack thereof) of Greyhound Racing Victoria to effectively employ an intelligence based approach to integrity management. It may also have shone a light on potential nepotism within the organisation. […]
Leading Queensland greyhound trainer Tony Zammit (pictured above) has been disqualified for 12 months after his star dog Valpolicella returned a positive swab to the permanently banned steroid Methandienone when finishing 5th in the 2023 edition of the Group 1 Top Gun Stayers at the Meadows. It happens every time there are flooding rains in the Brisbane area, like it did in 2o22 and again in 2011 before that. On each of these occasions the […]
In the wake of Peter Gleeson’s resignation this week as CEO of the Queensland Greyhound Racing Club, a surprise new name has emerged as the front-runner to take over the reins at the Q. Jason Scott. We have always known that the outgoing Racing Queensland CEO – who in his short time with RQ has […]
Archie. I read your piece on Kim Kelly. He may be a great steward (just ask him), but in my view he is a terrible Deputy Commissioner. Mr Kelly appears to have zero interest in the greyhounds. We had a Group 1 meeting during the week that you’d expect the most senior QRIC integrity official […]
Before the sun rose on Wednesday morning we published an article highlighting the absence of any published Stewards reports from greyhound meetings run over the previous 5 days, and in it questioned whether the reports were being vetted prior to publication. By 10.00am that morning all the Stewards Reports went up. Funny that isn’t it?
