Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Michael Kegley was the man who sold the banned drugs to the US trainers who have gone to jail. He is in prison too. Kegley was sentenced to 30 months inside. The court also ordered him to forfeit more than $3 million worth of the illegal products that he had stockpiled, and to pay a […]
Tasmania’s premiership winning greyhound trainer Anthony Bullock, the man who hangs Ben Yole’s shot horses from trees to drain their blood before cutting them up with a chainsaw and feeding them to his dogs, always has multiple entries at each greyhound meeting that held in the State. There is a meeting at Launceston tonight. Bullock […]
The carrier pigeons from Adelaide got caught in the chill wind that blew up the east coast of Australia and garbled their brains. Brad Elder went down to Adelaide for Aaron Bain Racing’s big shindig. The whole world was there it seems, or at least a bunch of South Australians, including the Public Trustee, a […]
Those were the days my friends, back before a man’s horse that he backed to win six figures in the Cup went like a crooner in his 70’s without any blue pills Winton Veall, Far North Queensland’s most famous Old Blue Eyes impersonator – and a damn good one too – was spotted at the […]
Well we are about 13 weeks out from the 2022 Inter Dominion final, and the pictures about as clear as mud. The bookies have Spirit of St Louis as the pre-post fave. No-one else does. Louis couldn’t blow smoke up Self Assured or Copy That’s arse. The only question is whether or not they are […]
Fred Crews isn’t Rob Auber’s favourite person, but Auber isn’t ours, so who cares? Auber won a rating 52-55 race at a Sunday meet at Cranbourne last night. Fred won a heat of the Tornado Valley trot, and now his super smart 4YO Ollivici is headed to the final, where he will be favourite. I […]
A week ago Kate Gath drove Catch A Wave like a monkey. Yes it was drawn the inside of the 2nd row. Yes it was racing all age rating 70-79 pacers. Yes it was first up. But c’mon, Gath eased back off the arm to last, and could have come around the field at any […]
My wife Maggie loves animals, and can talk to them. Seriously. They talk back too. Her latest friends are crocodiles. She wants us to save them. We should too. I’d rather face up to a croc than have to front Maggie and tell her that I broke my promise to share her petition. Do me […]
Honesty, as Billy Joel once warbled, is very hard to find; particularly in racing of all three codes. Predominantly, the white lies on offer, these days at least, are neither nefarious nor dangerous in nature. Despite what many may wish to believe about harness racing in particular, the ravenous rorts of yesteryear are cheerfully consigned […]
We warned you that the Canary – the unregistered NZ trot syndicator Andrew Fitzgerald – was full of shit, didn’t we? Does anyone want to tell us that we were wrong? You’d be an idiot. A few months back the Canary syndicated a very slow mare named Pembrook’s Princess to the mugs for $18 000. […]
