Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
The 2020 Everest winner Classique Legend has had 3 starts in the past 2 years. He ran 11th, 5th and last at those runs, the most recent of which was yesterday in The Shorts. At the age of seven I don’t think he will be having another one. Classique Legend pulled up 3/5th lame in […]
Ray Thomas on Racenet reported yesterday that James Cumming is mentioning Anamoe in the same breath as the legendary English champions Nijinksy and Dancing Brave. Cummings has got to be kidding hasn’t he? Anamoe is a great horse to be sure, and potentially a champion, but at this stage of their respective careers he wouldn’t have […]
You wouldn’t want to be putting your money on Sky Channel’s owner Tabcorp to be winning a renewal of their Victorian TAB license next year after what they did today, that’s for sure. Race 6 at Caulfield was the Group 3 Catanach’s Jewellers MRC Foundation Cup, a lead in race to the upcoming big ones […]
There are rumours floating over from across the ditch that well-known harness racing trainer and driver Natalie Rasmussen has or will be nodding her head to a certain charge or charges in the criminal courts in the very recent past or future. Nothing would surprise me about a best mate of Scott Steele’s. BTW don’t […]
She hails from Snowy River, up by Kosciusko’s side, Where the hills are twice as steep and twice as rough, Where a horse’s hoofs strike firelight from the flint stones every stride, The girls that holds her own is good enough. And the Snowy River riders on the mountains make their home, Where the river […]
Boncel Benjamin came from obscurity and claimers to win last year’s Inter Dominion, a race that has traditionally been won by champions. Benjamin is no champion. He is a legless walker. And the bloke named Jill (Jason Grimson) who trained who trained him to win ID21 is a disgraceful drug cheat. This horse couldn’t blow […]
We told you a month ago that Lochinvar Art that was buggered. Sadly we were right. There is something that we have not been told. Or you haven’t. The once great champ has been stood down for 28 days after his poor performance last night. This doesn’t happen with a horse who runs 28.2 and […]
What sort of interest did your bank pay you over the weekend? Bet it wasn’t 121%. The Swans are are going to do the Cats in the Final. Brisbane Lions backline leaked, just as they have all year. Sydney’s defence is impregnable. Sucked in Collingwood, you’re a bunch of cats. Cowboys beat Eeels and go […]
MELTON Race 4 No 7 – TREACHERY The Emma Stewart stable’s fillies are almost impossible to beat at present, and this girl is one of the best of them. Way too short to back but a kicker in your multis. Race 7 no 7 – BONDI LOCKDOWN If you had told me a fortnight ago […]
This Casey Bailey, a one-time contender for the title of 2020 Australian Rodeo Queen. Casey is from Wangaratta in Victoria, and likes rodeos and football, and does Equine Breaking-in and education services. I suspect that she may be partial to kung fu movies too, at least if what occurred at the Callaghan Racecourse, Rockhampton on […]
