Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
This is the betting on the last race at Carrick in Tasmania on Friday night. Only one horse in the race has been backed for any real money, the rank outsider Our Quinn, trained by Ben Yole. It’s form is terrible. 0-9-0-0-0-7-0-0-0-6-7-5-9-0-6-0-0-0-7-5-0-0 from it’s past twenty-two starts, beaten out if sight each time. Our Quinn […]
One wag has suggested that to address the current woes being expressed by Queensland gallops trainers about their long working hours and their inability to get cheap, non-penalty rate east Asian student visa holder labor as a result of COVID-19, a working group of trainers should be formed to come up with some solutions. He […]
HRV would like to make participants aware that when engaging a rehoming person that is not affiliated with HRV’s HERO program that the outcome for the horse may not be as promised and the outcome may lack some oversight. It is important for participants to undertake their own research and due diligence prior to engaging […]
Copy That is the most hard done by horse in the whole wide world. Along with Lochinvar Art he is also the best pacer in the Southern Hemisphere. The All Star combo of Nat Rasmussen and Mark Purdon know it. That is why they structure their own team’s driving tactics to get him beat. There […]
Sucked. Don’t tell the kids. Enjoy what you have got. It’s a long time gone.

JOCKEY OF THE YEAR Glen Boss Enigmatic pain in the arse who goes like a busted one outside of carnivals time, and then steps up and slays them. Bossy will never win a consistency award or a popularity prize either, but gee when you have a horse who is a sneaky chance in a Group […]
Last night the Toowoomba meeting was abandoned mid-stream due to what the Clifford Park club says was a lighting issue beyond its control. I am reliably told that there is a whole lot more to the story to that. Will the Stewards tell the full tale in their official report? Or we will have to? […]
Harness Racing NSW CEO John Dumesny may well live in a $3 million apartment at Harold Park that he’d acquired from the developer that the club he ran sold the land to, but Craig Cross is not the trainer of Dominate. He can’t be, for the old girl has been long dead. Craig Cross’s six […]
Since the 14th of March this year there have been 31 Group Three races run at Menangle. Each of these races were worth $30 600 in total, and $15 600 to the winner. Horses trained by Craig Cross have won 25 of them. 25 out of 31! That is a winning strike rate of 81%. […]
