Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Lachlan Murray – in racing parlance the Cod – has been the acting CEO of Racing QLD for a long time now, about a year and a half in fact. Why? Who knows. The only thing for sure is that as an actor, the Cod has won no Academy Awards in the role yet. Here […]
“It’s a bit like buying a cheeseburger for the pickle. You don’t do that. People come to our game for the game.” – Peter V’Landys, talking about Grand Final half-time entertainment. PVL reckons that the game sells the show, not the half time entertainment. I guess we will see on Saturday whether or not he […]
This as good a tribute to Peter V’Landys that you will ever get. And all the better because it’s coming from Chris Waller.
Angry Anderson is dead. Long live Angry. I didn’t know the bloke, so I can’s say much by way of a personal tribute to him, but what I can do is recall the night in Warrnambool when the little bloke with the bald head and all the tatts stared the 6ft tall bookie David ‘Lay-Off’ McLauchlan […]

Outside Fighter is a 9-year-old battler trained by by hobbyist Julie Henman, who only has two horses racing. Including yesterday, the […]
I have lost count of how many times we have written on this website about jockey Daniel McGillivray breaching the rules of racing. Whether it be drugs, careless riding, the whip or whatever rule it may be, you name it, D. McGillivray is there. He is off and away again. Last Sunday week at Dalby […]
