Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Hi Archie Hope the incoming storm won’t harm you and yours. Interesting that the Queensland Government have contracted KPMG to conduct their “independent” review into QRIC. The word from head office is that they were also contracted by QRIC recently to prepare the submission for extra funding to submit to Government which I’m told was […]
You hear a lot about Just Believe and I am a believer. He looks an outright certainty to win from that draw. There’s only a couple of lengths at most between the top 4 but he holds all the aces from his gate. Sugars will control the race from the outset and just win. I […]
There is movement at the station in Tasmania, and it started in Hong Kong. The Tassie minister for racing Felix Ellis was not happy to discover that the CEO of Tasracing Andrew Jenkins had spent the last week in Honkers with the chairman of the board Jean Phair on a trip fully funded by Tasracing. Two leading trainers and another racing licensee are said to have recorded themselves having group sex with an 18-year-old employee of a major stud. A copy of the recording is rumoured to have been sent to the high-profile […]
The world feels weird. Those few birds of the thousands that usually live here that have been left behind are talking to each other, when they are usually asleep, probably asking each other why everything seems so strange, and where to go next. I wish I knew. You can’t fly, you can’t drive, there is […]
There were bizarre scenes in Clonmel today as Willie Mullins’ Cash Back won by over 100 lengths in brutal conditions that saw the three contesting horses stutter across the line. In the three-horse, three-mile Jim Strang & Sons Kilsheelan Hurdle, Desert Heather struggled to cross the line at walking pace in second position while Monishter […]
So after 2 months of its website being ‘Under Maintenance” – including Cup week – the dodgy corporate Bet Deck that we have been telling you about for ages tells its account holders that they’ve sold to an unnamed buyer and it’s all sweet, and the equally rubbery NT Racing Commission says that they agree. […]
