Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Chief I had a listen to the CEO and HRV Chairman on the radio this morning with Gareth Hall. It was an interesting listen. This is purely my observation of what needs to happen and whilst I’m no rocket scientist, I have a reasonable handle on things. So I offer this as some information that […]
New amendments to the local rules of greyhound racing introduced yesterday by Racing Queensland have made owning a dishlicker a whole lot more difficult than it was the day before. The new rules place a strict onus on owners to rehome their greyhound, or to cause the greyhound to be rehomed to an appropriate home, […]
Jockey Adin Thompson weighed out for race 4 at Ipswich on Tuesday without his girth. He did so because he was heavier than his horse’s handicap and he knew it, so he wanted to cheat the Clerk of the Scales in order that he could both keep the mount and avoid a fine for not […]
We have written extensively in recent times about the financial and internal troubles besetting the Queensland based racehorse syndicator KO Thoroughbred Racing. Justin Huxtable, who is self represented, is appealing against a 7-day suspension he incurred for failing to ride his mount out to the finish at the Sunshine Coast on 11 August, and thus costing it 4th place by his actions. Huxtable starts off badly. He opens his submissions by saying he’s only ever been in […]

I’d like to suggest that perhaps the driver of the winner Lachie Cook just can’t kick a horse in the hock and steer straight at the same time. Maybe he should ask Josh Gallagher for lessons. Exclusive: Bombshell! – Did the Driver of the Winner Hock […]
SA Racing CEO Vaughn Lynch’s statement about the abandonment of the Bordertown races debacle on Sunday raises far more questions than it does provide answers. The Bordertown meeting was due to kick off with race 1 scheduled to jump at 12.40 pm. It was not cancelled until 2.00pm, ten minutes after the scheduled start time […]
