Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Nathan Jack is the most hated man in the history of the Harness Racing Victoria Integrity Unit, bar none. Even the convicted and ten-year jailed Mokbel league meth cook and dealer Rod Weightman gets a better welcome than N. Jack, even though the latter has no criminal convictions at all, and the former has heaps. […]
In a week when Russia quite rightly became the scourge of the world, it was perhaps fitting that a sprinter named after the land of putrid Putin’s favourite aerial freestyle skier copped the worst run in transit since the Titanic and met a similar fate. Smirnova was the galloper’s name, and the smart 3YO filly […]
Once upon a time innocent trainers like Darrel Graham and our man Moods used to get tipped out for long periods of time for throwing positive swabs to cobalt salts. It was a travesty of justice, and it was only through the big man’s outspoken criticism of the stewarding practice and Daz’s determined legal resistance […]
Last year Ryan Duffy copped a 12 month DQ from the Victoria Racing Tribunal helping his mate milkshake a horse, taking the bolt when the Stewards turned up and caught them in the act, and lying through his teeth about the whole thing. He deserved the DQ too. The RV Stewards thought Duffy deserved more, […]
This protest ruling by the HRV Stewards is the greatest load of Edgar Britt you have ever seen. It is so ridiculous that I am even going to waste my time explaining it to you, unless you are legally blind. If that is the case get in touch and let me know, and I will […]
On the topic of not needing to explain the obvious, take a look at this. It’s the 6th race at Kilmore on the same night that My Golden Eagle cut the corner and won. You are looking at the horse in the white with flashes of red and blue, driven by Joe Pace. The one […]
It seems that a certain leading driver in Sydney has taken a sudden interest in Swedish affairs. We are not sure whether he has mixed up the blue and yellow flags of the Ukraine and Sweden, or whether he been dazzled by the bright blonde light, but one thing is for certain. A certain Melbourne […]
Nathan Rothwell is a young lad whose parents owned harness racing horses, but weren’t involved hands on in the game as trainers. He wanted to be, so he enrolled in courses at the Gippsland Training Centre and undertook both theoretical and practical studies designed to furnish him with the skills to achieve his dream to […]
Hot on the heels of the successful appeals against their criminal convictions by harness trainer/drivers Nathan Jack and Mark Pitt, another less high profile Victorian race fixing prosecution has last week collapsed. Victoria Police’s sporting integrity intelligence unit had in 2019 charged trainer/driver Robert Walters with two offences relating to race-fixing in Shepparton on 17 […]
Here is an ‘interview’ conducted with new Racing Victoria Integrity chief Brent Fisher. Fisher was formerly with Harness Racing Victoria, although little mention is made of that. He is also being personally sued for a fortune by the criminally persecuted and recently vindicated harness racing identity Nathan Jack, who since his return has won 2 […]
