Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
It was the right decision. Or was it? In the Stewards room Josh Gallagher accused David Moran of coming in on him deliberately. That’s an allegation of foul driving, which if true could put Moran out for six months. Jason Grimson doubled, tripled and quadrupled down. He repeatedly accused Moran of doing it on purpose, […]
Do you remember us telling you last week that WA driver Shane Young should have been outed for 6 months for his drive on a $1.12 favourite at Wagin named Suing You? Well Suing You had it’s start at Gloucester Park last night. It won. Did I say six months? Make it twelve. https://www-harness-org-au.akamaized.net/wa/GPM10122104.mp4
Gary ‘Woody’ Woodham is the CEO of Harness Racing New Zealand. He is also a major owner of pacers and trotters, and has his horse’s trained by the All Stars. Woody assures us that there are no conflicts of interest. That bloke who paces around the square all day talking to Jesus believes him. The […]
Of all those New Zealand trainers or training combinations that have trained 15 or more winners this year, there are only really three that have recorded winning strike rates of better than one winner in four. They are: The first is the All Stars Stable, which over the course of the season have trained variously […]

RACE 12 – GOOD DEAL TYRES PACE (2190 MS) Alex Ashwood, trainer/driver of Fashion Passion ($1.30 fav Winner) was queried into the seemingly improved performance of the mare compared to its most recent starts. Mr Ashwood advised Fashion Passion was having its first start for his […]
The breaking news from across the ditch is that Woodend Beach trainer Cam Jones (pictured above) has this afternoon been caught with a needle in his hand ready to inject his pacer Johnny Nevits with an unknown substance on the way to the Addington race track. Our information is that Jones was being covertly surveilled […]
Humbletonian race day is supposed to be a celebration of the little Aussie battlers who love the trots. It is a satire of the great American million dollar Group 1 classic the Hambletonian, named after Hambletonian 10, the father of the modern trotter and pacer, and won over its 98 year history by such luminaries […]
I don’t know how trainer Troy Williams – Twilliams – does it. You know the story about Idle Hands, he’s the old walker who had won one race from his past 100 starts when he joined the Twilliams stable at age 11 and 3/4, immediately won 3 in a row, and has won 4 of […]
Race 5 at Gloucester Park in WA on Friday night was a horror show. The second favourite McCardles Gem driven by it’s trainer Brett Smith was drawn in gate 2. $10 shot Cavalry Call was drawn the pole. Emily Suvaljko was it’s driver, and unsurprisingly she wanted the lead, for the horse had won the […]
The word running around Melbourne town is that a self-proclaimed trot form analyst who is very fond of excessive hand waving and gazing at their image in the mirror may have been caught getting up to sackable mischief in the lavatories during a recent work Xmas party. It is said that his employers are not […]
