Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
The Nude Tipster Dr. Georgia Whiting sent us a selection of images that she would like to see us choose from to accompany this week’s nude tips, but we were unable to accede to the nude tipsters demands because (a) This is a family friendly website; and (b) Our lifelong mate the Eagle’s dad always […]
The word on the street is that one commission agent (what we used to call bowlers before there were corporates) well known to certain Melbourne bookies for his haste to collect when he backed a winner on his lightning interstate raids in the early 2000’s, and even better known by one for his disinclination to […]
Peter ‘Noddy’ McMullen decided to take his old mate Gus on a trip to New Zealand. It was a working trip. Gus was there to run in the Dominion Handicap, and Pete was there to pull off a plunge. It seemed a pretty ambitious plan. Gus had won a Group 2 and a Group 3 […]
I don’t know who Troy Sturt is. All I do know is that he is one lucky bastard. Super Smirk won too. For a $12.50 investment Troy Sturt has won $48 434.10. Dreams of made of this. Good on him.

Rocksie Rock had been backed from $8.00 into $1.80 to win the first race at Penrith last week. It wasn’t pre-race swabbed which I reckon was lucky, because the family have form. The horse didn’t. It had been going ordinary for a while now, about 3 months. There was nothing in its form to suggest […]
Kiwi import Fitzroy was the heavily backed favorite to win the last race at Albion Park, and with very good reason too for the 2YO had been racing highly competitively against elite company in group class races in New Zealand, and there weren’t any top shelf black type pacers lining up in this race. Punters […]
This video was sent to us by a Lightning Bet customer. It is a recording of him trying to have $5 bets on a race at Grafton. He does it one by one and works his way through the field. On every bet bar one they wind the price in on him. The one that […]
This podcast by professional punter Kingsley Bartholomew is well worth a listen by punters large and small.
