Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Is Robbie Waterhouse desperately in need of a quick earn? Why else would he have fielded at yesterday’s Gold Coast phantom meeting? We could have loaned him a couple of bucks and saved him an afternoon on his feet. Did Racing Queensland CEO Jason Scott turn left instead of right when backing out of the […]
Archie Re the number of recent deaths on Queensland tracks. It is actually 5. And until stewards do something about peptide use the numbers will increase. Pain is a good indication there is an issue. Gutless pathetic trainers chasing dollars just push on!~! The drugs, the drugs. It’s always the damned drugs. Kevin from Kangaroo […]
Blake Shinn is not an executive member of the Victoria Jockeys Association, but as he showed by issuing the media release pictured at the top of this story, he is a leader of men. Everyone knows that the jockeys should be paid for riding in jump outs, it’s simple common sense, even if Ciaron Maher […]
I just watched Namazu die. Or I think I did anyway. He broke down all over the place, or maybe he had a heart attack, one or the other, or maybe both, I’m not sure. I just saw him run sideways like a crab to the outside, and then he crashed to the ground, and […]
The Fall 6-year-old galloper Ancient Style faltered at the 600m mark of a Maiden race at Innisfail on Saturday and crashed to the turf, dislodging apprentice jockey Mel Campbell in the process. Campbell suffered serious injuries in the fall and is presently hospitalized. As bad a state as she is in, it could have been […]

V’Landys told the inquiry that it is racehorse owners who fund the industry, not punters or the government. To that I say bullshit. People buy racehorses to […]
Yesterday the New Zealand Government announced that it will phase out greyhound racing over a 20-month period, with racing to be banned by the end of July 2026. While this decision will obviously be bitterly disappointing and distressing for the participants and their families in the greyhound racing industry in New Zealand, the NZ government’s […]
Archie I think your words about trots and racing in NZ are true they will come for them. The emboldened activists with the wind in their sails will almost certainly come for all 3 codes in Australia too. I think one thing we and the thoroughbred authorities in New Zealand should be is proactive and […]
Greyhound Racing in New Zealand. In 20 months time it won’t exist at all. Then they will come for the gallops and trots. It’s the safest bet of the year. Veteran Kiwi politician Damian O’Connor is a racing man through and through, and is certainly no bleeding heart greenie. What he had to say to […]
