After taking written and verbal evidence from both Jockey Bradley Appo and Apprentice Sariah Champkin, as […]
Him, She and the Deep Blue Sea
A horse trainer who sold a non-existent horse for $40,000 and defrauded horse owners will serve seven months home detention. Mitchell Paul Kerr, 30, appeared in the Christchurch District Court on Tuesday to be sentenced on three charges – two of obtaining by deception and another of forgery. He earlier pleaded guilty to all three and was […]
The Colt is Back
The track record over 2138m off the stand is 1.56.9, run last Saturday night by Bombadier Jujon. It started from the front and led, 7 runs into its prep. Colt Thirty One went 1.57.5 yesterday. He began off 20 metres, and cut the breeze the whole way. First up for 9 months. On a bog […]
Ladbrokes Come Up to the Garden of Eden to Fight the Crocs
Forget culling, ignore death quotas, and just leave things be. The more crocs you kill, the more come out top play, and they play a lot more viciously than they did before too. That’s why we’ve been here the blink of an eyelid in real terms, and the crocodiles have been here since the dawn […]

It is Good to Know That Racing Integrity is Taken Seriously
Big Time Boatie – Welcome to the Land of Nod
Elouisa Dale gets backed off the map in the 8th race at the Creek last night. It is trained by Chantal Turpin and driven by Pete ‘Noddy’ McMullen. Noddy’s sister Taleah is on the 2 horse Melton Insulted. We all are. Insulted that is. Taleah fires out to the lead to get across the 1, […]
That is No Dead Heat
This the 1st race at Caloundra yesterday. The judge declared the outside horse the winner. Connections of the inside horse asked to look at the print. They looked at it. Then the judge changed the placings to make it a dead heat. He was wrong both times. You show me a dead heat here and […]
