Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Alright. Watch this. You are looking at the horse on the inside, the one in the maroon and white. Jack ‘Turbo’ Trainor is it’s driver. Watch his foot. And while you are doing so, ask yourself whether horses deserve to be kicked hard to make them run faster, or least as fast as they can […]
Young Jack Brown didn’t drive at the Young trot meeting on Thursday night. Nathan Turnbull did. He breached the whip rule too. Turnbull was sentenced on the basis of Brown’s previous record. Me thinks he might have grounds for appeal.
Aminorex (Menocil, Apiquel, aminoxaphen, aminoxafen, McN-742) is a weight loss (anorectic) stimulant drug. It was withdrawn from the market after it was found to cause pulmonary hypertension. In the U.S., it is an illegal Schedule I drug, meaning it has high abuse potential, no accepted medical use, and a poor safety profile. Aminorex, in the 2-amino-5-aryl oxazoline class, was developed by McNeil Laboratories in 1962. It is closely related […]
Harness Racing NSW spent $15 million building a new trot track at Wagga, or at least that’s what we are told. The rumours are that not all of the fifteen million found it’s way to the track in Daryl Maguire’s old electorate, if you know what I mean. Either way, the purpose of the expensive […]
A little while ago we wrote a story questioning why the ID21 prizemoney hadn’t been paid. Less than a week later Harness Racing NSW paid it. No-one reads Peter Profit. No-one who doesn’t matter anyway. You owe me a drink owners. I will have a Johnnie Walker blue thanks.
https://www-harness-org-au.akamaized.net/nsw/PCM12022204.mp4 Well aren’t you lucky I told you not to fall for the con and buy The Fortunate Son for $25 grand thinking that as a horse who had just run 1.49.4 he was a chance in the Miracle Mile sportsfans? It’s the oldest rule in the book. When something looks too good to be […]
Watch driver Bruce Harpley on the leader here. See him look around on the turn, inside and out. Look at him pull the whip. Bruce thinks it’s the last lap. He’s going for home. But they are only at the bell. There’s still a lap to go! Harpley tells the Stewards that he knew what […]
Say it ain’t so, Joe please Say it ain’t so That’s not what I wanna hear Joe and I’ve got the right to know Say it ain’t so, Joe please Murray Head Well it seems the mystery of Sergeant Joe’s sudden success on the track with old slow horses that he transforms into free-legged superstars […]
Seriously, this Sergeant Joe Conolly needs to go a bit easier on the spike if he want to avoid the attention of the authorities and the heat, because this is just getting crazy. Golden Year is a seven-year-old pacer who hasn’t won a race at its past ten starts. The fastest winning time that it […]
Cruz Bromac won as predicted all right, and they even bet you $2.00 on the Vic Tote. I was wrong about the time though. Our guess was 1.51.9. He actually ran 1.51.3, six-tenths quicker. It was the fastest time he has run in years. No doubt he will be breaking the 1.50 mark next time […]
