Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Good morning Arch Just an update on parts 2 and 3 of Dean Elliott’s life changing announcements about the trots in SA. Part 2 – The Southern Cross It’s great that Deanno the dinasouar has copied from interstate jurisdictions and introduced progressive bonuses . The trouble is will there be any young horses left to […]
1. Maori’s Idol The greatest standardbred ever to step on a southern hemisphere track. He was near unbeatable in trot races of his own gait. And beat champion pacers on even terms. Trotters don’t do that. Maori’s Idol is the greatest horse that I have ever seen. 2. Blacks A Fake Four Inter-Doms. 11 Group […]
MELBOURNE R1 n2 – Mafia Top run last start at Sandown, a track that didn’t suit his style of racing. The straight six at headquarters will. Ollie will make them an offer they can’t refuse. R4 n4 – Mahamedeis Coming back from a debut win over the hurdles, but Nick Ryan is a brilliant trainer, […]
Word filtering out of the Western Australian courts is that Gloucester Park redevelopment opponent Duro Margaretic has lost his Supreme Court action attempting to block the sale of the GP land, with the matter being dismissed by the judge and kicked to touch. A basket of goods and services valued at $10 000 in calendar year 1984, would in calendar year 2022 cost $34,639.46. Total […]
We are now hearing whispers from down south and across the ditch that Mr Bella Button – Kiwi trainer Mark ‘Juice’ Jones – is going to take over Jack Trainor’s barns at Menangle when Turbo takes off to Jersey after the Miracle Mile carnival. In one way it would be apt, for birds 0f a […]
Hello Arch It’s Syd from south Australia. In reply to Bill from the Barossa. I whole heartily agree with the prizemoney increases being a sleight of hand. First any increase is great for the game, but let us put reality into the equation here. Average prizemoney in winter in SA per meeting in the past […]
Well a lot of people don’t know it, cos they are too dumb to see, but Alligator Al – Allan Endresz on his birth certificate – is the one of the smartest blokes in racing. I know one bloke who is smarter, and another one who might be, but outside of that they’re it. So […]
