Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
This is race 6 at Launceston on Friday night. Ben Yole trains ten of the eleven runners in the race. The only one that he doesn’t train is the leader Major Seascape. Yole used to train it, but its new owners sent it to the barn of trainer Mark Reggett, where it got fed and […]
Ben ‘Chainsaw’ Yole didn’t have a runner in the first race at Hobart last night, but he turned out 39 of the 50 starters in the other 5 races (78%). In race three Chainsaw trained every one of the nine starters. He trained 5 of the runners in race six, 10 of the 12 in […]
HRA maintains a robust traceability database which was referenced in a submission from the Australian Veterinary Association Ltd to the Martin Inquiry which quotes, “EVA does concede that Harness Racing Australia has taken serious action on this issue in the last 18 months by making owners update activity status of Standardbred racehorses in ‘real time.’” […]
Ben Yole has won the past five Tasmanian harness race training premierships in succession. He wins these Premierships because he turns out ten times as many runners as any other trainer in the State. Yole gets all these horses – hundreds of them – from around Australia by either buying them out of cheap claiming […]
Ben Yole (pictured) had 30 of the 91 starters that turned out to run in the nine races at last night’s Launceston harness race meeting. Yole finished the evening with a grand total of 1 winner, 3 seconds, and a third. And this is the bloke they say is Tassie’s premier trainer. David Hayes had […]
Ben Yole, the so-called premier trot trainer in Tasmania, presented 40 of the 61 runners at the Devonport meeting last night. He didn’t win a single race. Yole is a great trainer isn’t he? This is how he went. Race 7 Nine of the ten starters. He missed. Race 6 Eight out the ten. Missed. […]
Last night at Hobart trainer Ben Yole turned out 33 starters in just 4 races. He had 9 of 11 in the first race, 8 of 11 in the second, 6 of 12 in the third, and 10 of 12 in the fourth. Despite this huge numerical advantage, Yole won just two races, which only […]
I would like to make a bet with you. The bet is that the pacer Watchmylips, which got beaten almost 100 metres last Saturday at Melton but mysteriously didn’t get stood down, won’t be going to Tasmania for a spell at all. My bet is that the pacer with a clear problem will be going […]
https://t.co/uLJFiW45ly — ajbutterflyracing (@ajbutterflyrac1) March 8, 2021 Race 4 at the Hobart trots yesterday was a most curious affair. Ben Yole trained 8 of the 12 starters. Ray Pullen prepared 2 horses. Steven Lockhart and Todd Rattray turned out 1 each. Now most folk, including me, have been saying for a long time that […]
What you see here is the most blatant piece of cheating you could ever see on a racetrack. It is race 1 at Burnie last night. Ben Yole trains 10 of the 12 starters. The 1 horse Keep Playing is the $2.20 favourite. Mark Yole, the trainer’s brother, is its driver. No 2 My Ultimate […]
