Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Mrs and Mrs Gray who own the recently retired racehorse Celtic Tiger have sponsored a race named after him today at Ipswich to wish their mighty steed a happy retirement. The love of good owners knows no bounds, but it sure does bring a smile to your face. One would imagine that retirement has to […]
5 June 2021 A well fancied runner in the last is listed in official publications as having had a gear change by adding winkers. It is in fact wearing blinkers. The false advice to punters is blamed on a clerical error. 12 June 2021 There are delays to advertised starting times throughout the program due […]
See this man? His name is Jeff, although his mates call him Budgie. If you were him you’d me smiling too. Martin Luther King had a dream. It was about ending racism. We don’t have to worry about that up here in the rainforest. In Kuranda we’re black, white, brown, brindle, whatever. Sometime we are […]
During the week I put forth the proposition forward that Incentivise would have to be Might and Power to win the Caulfield Cup today, and expressed doubt that he would. How wrong I was. Incentivise IS Might and Power. He may even be Phar Lap yet too, who knows? What a horse. What a win. […]

PETA (above) claiming that Hitler didn’t have the same ideas as them by saying that even if he did, noble causes shouldn’t be abandoned just because they were supported by Nazis who fed people into gas chambers and threw their bodies into mass holes Hunting and horse races are the last vestiges of a dead […]
Well it probably wasn’t, but I am writing this story so I am allowed to call Cole Diesel’s win in 1989 the greatest if I want to, and bully for the rest of them. How many Caulfield Cup winners do you know that step up from over the mile in the Toorak the week before, […]
