Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=562880375643110&ref=sharing The 2YO that I have been telling you was a champion before he even raced – Merlin – won the Harness Million at Addington last night. It’s a race that some pretty handy horses have won over the years: Akuta, Lazarus, Changeover, Bailey’s Dream, Il Vicolo and Courage Under Fire are just a few. […]
It is simple, and highly effective. 5ml Formaldehyde, mixed with 25ml of Saline. Embalming fluid and salt water. Guess what there is a lot of at beaches? Salt water. Know the funny thing though? The beach trainers don’t even bother with the water. Bang! Formaldehyde straight into the vein. It works like a dream. It’s a […]
Before today Teddy Baker had raced 15 times and the best he could do was finish 3 placings. A few weeks ago he gets transferred from the stable of the stable of A.F.H. Hunter to that of T.M.A. Dewe. TMH is Tyler. He is a teenage kid who only got his license three weeks ago. […]
Race 2 HRNZ Annual Conference 2YO Pace – no 4 Sherlock This bloke is really, really smart, but has been crucified by bad barriers at his two starts to date. That all changes on Friday night. You are going to see a very different Sherlock here. One who is a winner. Race 8 Canterbury Flying […]
Archibald Did Harness Racing New Zealand have to give the Cambridge harness racing club (Waikato-Bay of Plenty) money to pay the prizemoney for the The Race by Grins (editor’s note – the Grinner), after they club went cap in hand to them after they discovered that they couldn’t pay all the stakes money for THE […]

The birds are chirping, especially the little yellow ones, even if the mail comes from a bowler name. They say that supposedly inland based trot trainer Mark Jones has inexplicably been seen out at Woodend Beach a bit lately. Funny that. Jones trained three winners at Addington last night. Two of them were at a […]
Dear Sir I wish to be invited to join your exclusive 1609 club. I am already a member of the mile high club, so am well qualified for entry. I confirm that I am a like minded individual to the CEO who likes to relax, play, connect and spark collaboration, and that I can stay […]
Merlin is the best 2YO in Australia, NZ and possibly the world. True Fantasy is rooted. Sundees Sun never gallops when it’s on the gear. Craig Ferguson is making hay while sun shines, and so he should, for there are only little blue tents that some call the sky where he is going. Self-Assured is […]
NZ pacer Corravalley Star showed good form until February, then it tapered off dramatically. In the horse’s past 5 runs it had done this: 10th at Hororata on the grass 4th at Wyndham 7th at Waimate on the grass 6th at Kurow Last at Addington Then it changes stable from Bruce Negus who trained Courage […]
