Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
The decision in the RIB case of Cam Jones and the needle has been handed down, and the bum has been disqualified for 21 months. Without giving too much away, that is the least of his troubles right now. Good bye for the moment and good riddance. The Canary – Andrew Fitzgerald – has been […]
Everyone I know with an interest the trots is talking about this Saturday’s Queensland Sun, the incredibly unimaginatively named local trained only qualifier for next week’s $315 000 Group 1 race for three and four-year olds the Rising Sun, and with good reason too, for it is one of the most intriguing races that you […]
Alligator Blood is by a NSW sire, out of a NSW mare. He was born and bred in NSW. His trainers are from NSW, and so was his one before. The horse’s owner is from NSW. His jockey is from NSW. Forget all that irrelevant fact stuff though. He’s as Queensland as XXXX beer. Which […]
As we’ve told recently, former long-serving Hawkesbury Race Club PR guru Vivienne Leggett had her life destroyed by the then CEO of the club Greg Rudolph, who for no seeming reason other than ego bullied her so much that she had a debilitating breakdown Then when she was down and out due to her Rudolph […]

Who were we to know that the Highlanders supporters were merely ripping off an idea from the […]
You called any suggestion of a confirmed sighting as a cruel hoax, didn’t you? Yes. You just decided that you didn’t accept their evidence, is that the position? No, I decided that their evidence wasn’t sufficient to get to the level of it being a confirmed sighting, in my view. So again, it was any […]
Isn’t it strange that a near two-year Steward’s inquiry into suspected doping by trainer Chris Munce comes to light just 4 days after the last race of the Brisbane Winter Carnival. I guess it’s coincidence hey? Just like it is that Munce has been charged with doping a mare, and that 6 of his 7 […]
The Brown Rice man teaches Brodie Loy to walk like a duck The last time I spoke to Ronald Johnson – the aka Brown Rice Man – was just last week. He was living in Toowoomba and about to make his way slowly up to Port Douglas via the inland route. Ronaldo wanted to camp […]
