Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Peter, When is someone going to seriously investigate Bloodstock Auction especially the sale ending today and the possibility of shill bidding? I’ve watched some extremely questionable bidding patterns, particularly involving the Arrowfield sales, and I cannot understand why nobody is looking into it. This isn’t the first time concerns have been raised. During a previous […]
Me thinks his friends should chip in to buy racing.com scribe Trent Masenhelder a calendar for Xmas. At least that way he might know what year it is. I doubt she will be having another run in 2025. Not unless I can too.
The 2 x $25 000 bonused – if won – are as far as we understand it funded by Arrowfield. Bloodstockauction.com.au simply administers the bonus scheme. The sale volume on the Arrowfield horses was about $155 000. Most if not all of the lots in the auction sold for well under the value of their […]
Corrie Knack is current harness race handicapper employed by Racing QLD. A chap by the same name is this week on trial in the Brisbane District Court charged with a criminal offence or offences. We are told that the bloke in the dock is one and the same Corrie Knack who works for RQ. If […]
Dear Archie, Was that the modern day Oedipus Bobo Bailey we observed copping a richly deserved and animated spray from fellow trainer Shryn Royes in the tie ups at Cluden Park on Sunday afternoon? Noted he didn’t have any runners on the day, but surely no one else would be seen dead sporting a BB […]
Gus is the greatest certainty to win the Dominion Trot in a fortnight’s time that I have ever seen, and if he doesn’t win it I will give up punting. What this horse did on a rain soaked Saturday night at Albion Park in the pouring rain was extraordinary. First up for more than three […]
The entries for race 1 at Townsville on the 18th of September were in my humble opinion a rort, or at least they looked like it anyway. Prizemoney for the race was $21 000, but it carried QTIS bonuses of an extra $12 000, which made it a pretty rich race by North Queensland standards. […]
Immediately prior to the running of Race 7, an elderly overseas visitor attending the race meeting gained unauthorised access to the racecourse from the outside of the track in the vicinity of the 800 metres, walking across the track, taking up a position inside the running rail. The individual was observed on the track shortly […]
I am no trot driver so I can’t tell. I am however a punter, and gee from that perspective it looked for all the world like Wayne Hill dropped his hands on the leader here in race 1 at Globe Derby yesterday, and that is not at all a good look. Whether what Hill did […]
I have been telling you since he was a 2-year-old that Kiwi pacer Marketplace was a superstar. A month ago I declared that he might beat Leap To Fame in the NZ Cup. Marketplace is Back Then I watched him get beaten by Bettors Anvil last start at Addington, and talking through my kick I […]
