Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
There is a rumour running around that Queensland Harness Racing Chief Steward David Farquharson is unvaccinated and won’t get the jab, but for some reason is being treated differently than other front line public servants like police officers and school teachers and nurses who refuse the vax and get sacked, because he is being allowed […]
The article below appeared in the NZ newspaper stuff.co.nz today This article here appeared on peterprofit.com on 13 December 2021. This one here was published on peterprofit.com on 17 December 2021. Like we keep proving, you always hear it first here. ————————————— A harness racing trainer has been charged with administering a substance to a horse on […]
BRISBANE Winners: 9 Other: 6 Total Swabs: 15 SYDNEY Winners: 10 Other: 46 Total Swabs: 56 MELBOURNE Winners: 9 Other: 39 Total Swabs: 48 The numbers tell the story don’t they? 56 horses were swabbed at Randwick yesterday. 48 were swabbed at Caulfield. And in Brisbane they swabbed just 15. Robert Heathcote was right. The […]
There were nine races today at Doomben, and six pre-race samples taken. 9 + 6 = 15 I like numbers. They tell you things, and allow you to work other things out by following their patterns. What a cursory analysis of the swab numbers reported in Queensland thoroughbred racing official Stewards Reports tells me is […]
This race was so good that it sent shivers down my spine. Call me weird, but I get excited by head to head sporting contests like this. Boxing matches, tennis finals, rugby tests, footy finals, horse races, sex with Maggie, it doesn’t matter. Watching the best of the best go at each other one on […]

It’s the oldest rule in the book. When something looks too good to be […]
In a sensation, but not a surprise, a week before the court was due to make a determination regarding the admissibility of the phone tap and surveillance evidence obtained by police and RIU (Racing Integrity Unit) investigators in the long running Operation Inca taskforce investigation into race fixing, all the charges have been dropped. Don’t […]
Look at Hugh Bowman’s ride on Outlandos in the 3rd race at Randwick today, and compare and contrast it to that of J-Mac on Delexo in the race immediately after. Diamonds and rocks. And trying and not. Tom Berry on the second horse here was trying too. Trying to cheat. But he proved ‘armless.
Watch this race. Just don’t expect to listen to it. The dubious private company sucked from the heart of country racing volunteers On The Bit might be paid half a million plus a year to broadcast country racing, but you wouldn’t pay them two cents for being on the ball. The callers mic doesn’t talk […]
