For some time now we have been highlighting the absolute inadequacy of On The Bit Racing in priv, and the controversially formed private company’s total unfitness to continue to hold the highly paid Racing Queensland contract to do so.

Week after week, month after month, lovers of country racing have been slapped in the face by receiving race vision shot from behind walls, calls without sound, or simply nothing on their screens at all.

It has been a joke from the get go, and a real bad one at that, topped off by On The Bit nominating an accused criminal who was in police custody for the Trainer of the Year Award, and then promoting the grub as a star of its Country Racing Awards Ceremony, and spitting in the face of female racing participants in doing so.

This was disgraceful, and simply not on.

Thankfully, Racing Queensland seem to realise it too.

The contract is going to be re-let for next year.

Race clubs have been invited to have their say on how they would like to see the broadcast vision look in the years to come.

The answer is simple.

High quality, consistent, and respectful of racing and the women participants in it.

If you are a member of a race club, then make sure you make your voice heard.

These On The Bit bums have to go.

Queensland country racing deserves better.
