Where I grew up the starters at the trots were always neutral.
The blokes on the track working with the horses were all there to get them faced up straight to the tapes, and to get them away fair and clean.
They weren’t there to get one going faster than the other.
That is the job of scarecrows.
So what was this dickhead on the outside of the track behind Tim Williams horse in the 6th at Addington last night doing?
Yelling at Williams horse and shooing it off the mark to give it an unfair advantage, that’s what.
This is corruption.
That bloke should be sacked.
