Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Shane Tritton is a former NSW trot trainer now resident in New York. He is the trainer of Lochinvar Art, once Australia’s best horse. Tritton has been boasting on Twitter about how successful he has been lately. Strike while the iron’s hot HRNZ. Make the bum pay.
We have written before about the incredible success of young Rockhampton trainer Nick Walsh. Now he has done even better. With his winners at Rockhampton on Sunday and at Thangool yesterday Walsh has surpassed his previous record, and lifted his already amazing strike rate beyond the 50% mark for the season. Walsh has now trained […]
Julia Creek based trainer Tanya Parry is lauded by Racing Queensland as the savior of racing in the far north-west of the State. She probably is too. But if Parry is, then I don’t reckon racing up there is worth saving. I went back a year to see where Tanya Parry’s horses that raced on […]

As most racing folk know, trainer Desleigh Forster was recently disqualified for using a stock whip to force one of her horses that she was training into the water walker at Eagle Farm. Forster appealed the sentence, and in doing so made history by becoming the first person ever to be granted a stay by […]
I think what’s happened is that a bolt has come loose on Zac Chappenden’s cart seat on the turn with a lap to go, and when he sat upright and got vigorous a lap later it gave way. You can see him look down to his right at the top of straight turning in with […]
We note with interest that our favourite greyhound Little Byrnes – aka the Black Flash – returns to racing in the 6th at Ipswich today, after a presumably injury enforced 6 months away from the track. Not many greyhounds make a successful comeback after that long away, especially dogs that are 4 years and 2 […]
