Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Watch the horse in the yellow. This is ugly. Ouch. What the hell happened? I’m buggered if I know. This below is what the Stewards said. Bloody hell. I hope they did a HIA. VIVID– Fractious in the early stages of the score up, a warning was issued. Raced roughly near the 1100 meters and […]
This matter involves a harness racing licensee, but is not directly harness racing related. As I say, not directly. It doesn’t mean that it isn’t though. I know what the subject matter is, which is the exact reason that I won’t be detailing it. One thing I will say is that this man should be […]
Why not? We’ve got them anyway, so we might as well just employ some who’d prefer to be paid in peanuts. What am I talking about? Are you a bit slow or something? Race two at Albion Park on Saturday night of course. Shane Graham – the bloke who escaped jail on criminal match fixing charges […]
Here is how you pull a monster Tuesday night plunge off, Maltese style. First you get your husband Frank a trainer’s license, and pretend that he actually prepares the horses, when in reality everyone knows that just like the Belinda-Luke baloney it’s you who really does. Next you get Frank to nominate 4 of your […]
The image you see above is the headline of a purported ‘news story’ published today on the Harness Racing Australia website www.harness.org.au, extolling the virtues of yearlings sired by Always B Miki that are being sold at the APG Gold Coast sale later this month. What it really is though is a free advertorial, however […]
The fish and chips shop at Doubtless Bay When the six-time Group 1 winning superstar Bling It On broke the track record at Goulburn in January last year he ran his last half in 55 seconds, going pretty much as fast as he could. On Monday at Goulburn a rating 70 pacer named Doubtless Bay […]
Adam Hamilton is off his trolley. The most exciting harness racing in Australia is at Gloucester Park and Mildura? Is he kidding himself or what? Gloucester Park racing is crap. Fifty percent of leaders win, one in two. That’s not exhilarating, that’s just stupid. And Mildura? Gimme a break. If Adam wants to go back […]
An eagle-eyed reader has just pointed out an error in my earlier story about David ‘Slasher’ Moran. Slasher didn’t just get done for whip abuse in Group 1 races seven and nine at Melton last Friday, he got fined for a whip offence in the Group 1 race six too, the Group 1 3YO Vicbred […]
By now you have read the stories I wrote about the orgy of whipping at Melton on Vicbred Super Series night, and are familiar with the tale of how leading senior driver David Moran belted the living crap out of two pacers in Group 1 races, won one and finished second, and only copped 2 […]
See that horse on the outside’s wheel, and where it is? You can’t do that. It has come straight over on top of the horse on its inside, in flagrant breach of the rules. The horse is Bondi Lockdown, and this is the Group 1 3YO Colts and Geldings Final of the Vicbred Super Series […]
