This Stewards report is somewhat frightening. Neither the barrier attendants nor the jockey, or the starter or anyone else at the start at the Mitchell races knew how to properly secure a girth. For goodness sake, it’s not that hard. What the hell is going on in Queensland racing. This whole thing was a debacle.
