Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Gladstone 19-year-old wonder kid Brooke Johnson (below, when she was 15) rode at a winner at her first ever meeting a month ago, and hasn’t stopped riding them since. She booted home a double yesterday on the Gladstone sand to give her a career record of 7 wins from 19 starts, at a strike rate […]
Robert Heathcote pleaded guilty to administering, or causing to administer, a product that is well known to contain cobalt to 23 horses in the space of just 2 months. His disciplinary history showed that he had been convicted of like offences before, and was thus a repeat offender. Many trainers with no disciplinary history at […]
There were only four horses in the 2nd race at Mackay on Tuesday. Two of them were owned by the same person, Mr K.A. Thomas. One was trained by Tim ‘Lay Down Sally’ Cook and ridden by his apprentice Alisha Donald. It’s name was Corporal, and it started at $31. The other one was called […]

I haven’t been to Muttaburra for a couple of years, and I wasn’t there last week, so I can’t tell you what the rainfall was from eye witness experience. But Elders are Australia’s number one rural company, and their word can usually be relied on. They say that it hasn’t rained at all in the […]
The Horse Racing Division faces its first defection before the racing season has even started. Indeed, the one who was to act as Chief Stipe, that is to say race commissioner, got stuck in the stalls… of the stable. He never went out on the track at all. He arrived in Mauritius two weeks ago, […]
