Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Take a look at this disgraceful piece of abhorrent animal abuse inflicted on the horse Comet Crusader by its driver Blake Hughes in the 2nd heat of the NSW Derby last Saturday week. Comet Crusader is the horse on the inside rail in the white. The one gone and going backwards. Hughes left right saws […]
Watch the horse in the bright red headgear, back second last on the fence. In particular, watch it’s driver Jeremy Quinlan and see what he does. Now watch the head on. Quinlan comes clearly into shot about 5 seconds in. Watch his actions closely. They are disgraceful. What justification in the world can there be […]
I write often about harness racing drivers ‘hocking’ – kicking their horses to make them run faster – for I consider it a cruel and barbaric practice, and one that must be stamped out by stomping down hard on drivers who do it. Would you run out onto the oval and kick your kid in […]

He ran again at Redcliffe yesterday. […]

Three months ago a greyhound trained by Ben ‘Chainsaw’ Yole’s best mate Anthony Bullock suffered a terrible injury at the Tuesday night trials at the Launceston track. The RSPCA claims that the dog was writhing in pain and needed immediate veterinary attention, but there was no vet on duty at the track to assist the […]
