Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
The great Ajax (above), triple winner of the All Aged Stakes The All Aged Stakes is one of the oldest and most prestigious races in Sydney, with today’s edition the 160th running of the race. It’s an intriguing affair too, with live chances left, right and centre; Group 1 winners all across the page; and […]
The picture re Racing Queensland’s pull out from the Redcliffe Yearling Sale becomes a little clearer, and murkier at the same time. It is believed that the dispute centers on the involvement of auctioneer Darren Ebert (pictured above) in the sale. Ebert is believed to have been charged with some form of animal cruelty offence/s, […]
Peter McMullen is a top-shelf reinsman, arguably the best in the State. Which makes it all the more troubling that he has put in a couple of queer drives lately, steers that you’d swear were intended to advantage his stablemate. We told the story yesterday of his drive at Redcliffe on Wednesday night aboard Beachbabe […]
At a time when there is huge conjecture over the future of the $2.1 million slot race, we have a simple idea about how to Make the Eureka Great Again (MEGA). There is only 4YO in the country that has the WOW factor, that pulls in punters and fans from all quarters to watch every […]

NEW SOUTH WALES J-Mac has as usual a mortgage on the Sydney Metro title despite his frequent absences, with his 72 […]
Our recent story about Fugly, the yearling sold for a record low price of $250 at the Redcliffe sale, has attracted much comment. One wag with a deep knowledge of harness racing has reminded us of Manaroa, the champion pacer of the 1970’s who like Fugly was as ugly as sin. Not being a looker […]
