The decision of a bunch of ignorant bumblebees decided to schedule the $1.25 million harness slot race in the  window as New Zealand’s far more prestigious $1 million slot race The Race By Grins has left the race that was supposed to revive WA harness racing bereft of quality runners, and as barren as the desert it’s named after.
