https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=832301231724371 ‘Racin’ Nathan Exelby’s new career as the CEO of the Ipswich Turf Club has certainly begun with a bang, following the news that disgraced former mayor turned jailed sex offender Paul Pisasale spent Saturday afternoon in the VIP tent at the Ipswich Cup race day as an invited guest of the club committee, of […]
There is no such place in Queensland as McKinley. The town where they raced on the weekend – the one that is home to the Walkabout Creek pub that featured in Crocodile Dundee – used to be called Mackinlay after the first white man to discover the local river, but since a change of name […]
Tyler Lesight had been outed for 4 weeks for calling fellow jockey Wanderson D’Avila a black c**t. It was a remark made for chivalrous reasons, but the way it was delivered was wrong. Remember Oakleigh, the nag with form of a dray cart donkey until its trackword rider hit it with a jigger at the instruction of the trainer to spark it up? Well those devices may be cruel and inhumane but they obviously work, for yesterday in Longreach the horse whose form before being jolted read 35: […]
The Stewards at Rockhampton yesterday questioned trainer Nick Walsh about a number of significant bets that had been placed on his runner in the 2nd race Fine Shot when the early markets went up on Thursday. You might ask so what, but the reason that they asked the question is because the bets were placed […]
