Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Moods at the Moranbah Workers Club on Friday arvo, completing his preparations for the big one https://www.facebook.com/moranbahraceclub/videos/5951508254860334 We told you last night about trot trainer D. Graham and co flying over to Vegas a couple of weeks ago to see Shania Twain live in Vegas, but we forgot to tell you about the bloke who […]
There is a six race card at Bedourie in outback Queensland today. Bedourie is a town of 122 people out in the arse end of nowhere, just north of Birdsville. Racing Queensland is throwing $76 500 at the meeting in prizemoney alone. The cost of Stewards and ancillary services would bring the cost up close […]
What can you say? Look at me, look at me, look at me? The leftover Alligators want to be left alone. So they race to do an interview with Ben Dorries. My taste in cheerleaders only stretches to abolishing them. And stops at about Mickey. What a pity. The Alligator is a real good horse. […]
South Australian racing authorities have quite rightly introduced a new rule limiting the number of starts a horse is allowed to have in a specified period of time. Except they didn’t. There is no number, and there is no timeframe. The Stewards can just make it up as they go. Isn’t that brilliant? This is […]
It’s true. Gerald Ryan has got his. If you had to paint a picture of a sicko pedo, it would look exactly like this. That’s because it is what it is. A portrait of a drunk who gets his jollies from doing shit things to young men, all for his own perverse pleasure. Sorry, sorry, […]

I love her. Beaver got her start at the Birdsville races in 2010 when she was working as a security guard. She joined Fred Brophy’s travelling boxing tent and won 240 plus fights, against women and blokes. There has […]
This is the Stewards report from the meeting at which all the races were put back hours. The stipes say that the reason was to accommodate for the race day clerks to arrive on course. Where do they live? Mars? A better question might be who their relatives are, blood or otherwise. In any event, […]
THE shenanigans of four protestors chaining themselves to the running rail at Cannington on Saturday night threw the night’s racing schedule into chaos. While all the attention on Perth was at Optus Stadium, very little air time has been given to the lunatics who were promptly marched away by police. The police arrived from Cannington […]
Gloaming. Heroic. Windbag. Phar Lap. Bernborough. Delta. Tulloch. Gunsynd. Kingston Town. Emancipation. Might and Power. Lonhro. Winx. Knights Order. Can spot the odd one out? It’s not very hard. This is a roll call of Chelmsford Stakes winners. It has always been a great race. Until today. This year’s version was a race for first-up […]
Have you ever heard of a race meeting that is being conducted on a Heavy 8 and quite raceable track being delayed by several hours to allow the course proper to dry out further? Why would the authorities do such a thing if the track was deemed safe to race on? Could it possibly be […]
