Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Race 4 at Dubbo was a curious affair, or it was to those who don’t understand the go. The leader and the 1 were heavily backed. Phoebe Betts trained and drove the leader. Jett Turnbull drove the 1. His Nathan Turnbull trained it, and also three others in the race too. The one to be […]
Constantina is a 9-year-old mare that coming into the 1st race at Newcastle on Friday night had raced 143 times and won 17 of them. The fastest of them was in 1.54.1. But that was before Super Seaton Grima got hold of the old girl. He did a couple of weeks ago. Last night Constantina […]
Have a look at this race at Tamworth this afternoon will you? The winner is an eight-year-old mare that had never won a race in faster time than 1.56.1 in six seasons of racing and 131 starts. Today she went 1.55.0. About 20 meters faster. Guess who owns her. Jason Grimson, his locked up mate […]
Aidos, the Greek goddess of humility (pictured above) In late 2025, I published a number of articles about an investigation relating to levamisole. He was fined $3000. In the same year NSW trot trainer Michael Carroll had one horse throw three positives to harpagoside and […]
There are two main takeaways from the James McDonald whip appeal decision earlier this week. One is that his lawyer Wayne Pasterfield (pictured above) is a genius. How he was able to convince the Appeals Panel to reduce J-Mac’s suspension to six days – effectively a 2 meeting suspension given that Sydney’s top jockey tends […]

While all the eyes of the harness racing world are quite rightly on the Kilmore Cup tonight, their is a very interesting battle going at Menangle, one which might tell us a bit more about next weekend’s Hunter Cup. I am talking Don Lou against Himynameisjeff. Jeff is an exceptionally good horse ran a huge […]
