Always back the horse named self-interest, son. It'll be the only one trying
Colt Thirty One is a multiple Group 1 winning pacer who’d had 97 starts for 46 wins and 31 placings coming into race 3 at Menangle last night. The Colt is a new rating (NR) 120. That’s no surprise, given Queensland’s greatest pacer of the past decade has won in excess of a million dollars. […]
Surf Ace had raced 29 times prior to last night, for four trainers and four wins. The fastest time that he’d ever won in was 1.59.6. Last night the four-year-old pacer appeared for the first time at Bathurst in the colours of his new trainer Turbo Trainor. It was his first run for three weeks. […]
Campbell Rawiller is a Melbourne-based apprentice who is indentured to trainer Logan McGill. From March to June last year Rawiller spent three months in Sydney on loan to trainer Gai Waterhouse improving his experience and skills, but he returned to Victoria at the end of the loan period, and has been riding there since. Some people reckon that Anthony ‘Mr T’ Missen keeps dodgy company. It is a bit harsh I reckon. Let’s be real here, it’s not like his good Anthony Mabbott is serving life or anything is it? All he got was 9 years. And his other bestie ‘Two Bob’ Rob Clements didn’t cop all that much […]

Here is Adam Fairley again, owning a winner at Newcastle last night. The co-owner Fleur De Lil Trust is Luke and Belinda McCarthy. Belinda McCarthy trains the horse. How could an active business partner of the McCarthy’s – and make no mistake, racing is a business – possibly possess the independence of mind and thought […]
Cameron Davies. Jack Callaghan. Jack Trainor. All three caught it at Menangle, and each has been in both close and casual contact with a large number and wide range of other harness racing participants. Poor buggers, at Christmas and all. We extend our thoughts to them and our wishes for a speedy recovery, and hope […]
All horses trained by Jason Grimson and Jack Trainor have been scratched from the meeting at Newcastle tonight. Trainor is not driving at the meeting. As we advised you this morning there has been an outbreak of COVID-19 at the the Menangle Training Centre that is being hidden from the public by the racing authorities. […]
