All Hail Merlin – The Wizard of Broz

About a month back we told you that the Queensland owned pacer Merlin was New Zealand’s best two-year-old.

It seemed that up until about 6 o’clock last night a lot of Kiwis disagreed, for they backed his rival Seve from $2.60 into $1.50 in the heat of the Group 2 Young Guns pace at Alexandra Park, and allowed Merlin to blow out the door.

What was that Muldoon said about the brain drain?

He was always a bloody idiot.

The Kiwi trot punters are too.

Merlin did it the hard way, but he did it and that’s all that matters.

Sorry Seve.

Kia ora cuzzies, and thanks.

The price was great.

Wanna sling of some Dettol?

It will save you bending over to lick your wounds.

All hail Merlin.

The Wizard of Broz.
