What Next? A Group 1 For Maidens?

We have written at length about the absurdity of the weekly Group 3 race at Menangle, and the stupidity of the Harness Racing Australia (HRA) policy that makes it possible by mandating a minimum prizemoney level for Group races without any criteria for rating a race as one, other than if a club can stump up or snaffle the cash to meet the mark, then the elite classification of the race follows as a matter of course.
