Sydney (Menangle) is Where the Stars Align for a Lazy Million

Firstly, I’ll admit I was wrong in regards to Expensive Ego is the Hunter Cup. As Archie quite rightly pointed out it’s run was very unlucky and full of merit. Originally it was never the plan for the McCarthy horse to go to Melbourne and race in the Hunter Cup but it was going so well that the big bucks was too hard to ignore I suppose. Can’t blame them either. Whilst I stand by my claim that Spirit of St Louis was the run of the race, Expensive Ego was desperately unlucky the way the race was run. Bloody circus actually, but that’s in the past now so let’s move on.
